Will IE Extension Development Survive?
Unlike Firefox, Microsoft has been bad at supporting third-party tools such as: Internet Explorer extension development. It is reported that the main reason for Microsoft’s browser crashes is mainly because of the third-party tools. IE8 was one of the most affected versions, which suffered from crash due to third-party add-ons installation. IE9 came to a fix. This new version of Microsoft comes with the ability to detect add-ons that may slow down the performance of the browser. The other convenient way would be to run IE9 in the “no add-ons” mode by accessing System Tools folder within the Accessories folder in Windows.
Although Microsoft and Internet Explorer plugin development is losing share, its new version managed to surpass the smaller rival, Opera. While other rivals such as Safari and Chrome outpaced the overall growth. Although Firefox shares fell from 21.8 percent to 21.6 percent, Firefox 4 is an advantage. It accounts for 5.4 percent of overall usage as it runs not just on Windows, but also on Mac and Linux and also on the older versions of Windows, notably Windows XP.
Microsoft’s dedication to HTML 5 continues. Weeks after the successful launch of IE9, Microsoft previewed an early version of its next version of HTML 5 compatible browser,IE 10 extension development. IE10 is set to support standards such as CSS3 gradients, backgrounds, and CSS3 flexible box out. IE extension development has started rolling to create something new for this new version. The browser was run against Google Chrome and, as the matter of fact, Internet explorer rendered faster and smoother results. IE has always been criticized for its speed. To which, Microsoft replied that faster is not always better.
Well, only users can reply this question better. Does Microsoft only lack for its speed? So mucWell, only usersh is expected from Microsoft’s upcoming browser.
